Ijams Nature Center is excited to launch Season 2 of Nature Nuggets, one of its most popular Early Learning programs! Nature Nuggets is a FREE program for young children and their caregivers. DURING THE 2026-2027 SEASON, WE WILL MEET WEEKLY.
If you are looking for a way to spend meaningful time outdoors with your little one while connecting with other caregivers, join Ijams for Nature Nuggets, a program designed especially for children ages 18 months to preschool and their grownups (younger siblings welcome in strollers and carriers).
Each gathering will include playful exploration, hands-on nature activities, and plenty of time to connect with new friends, both big and small. Together, we’ll share our love of the natural world while building community, friendships, and lasting memories.
Please note: While Nature Nuggets is a free program, there is a $5 parking fee that participants can pay by scanning a QR code at every parking lot. Ijams members always park FREE! Learn More About Membership

This week, we're celebrating reptiles and visit with one of our animal ambassadors, Narcissa! We'll gather at Jo's Grove, which is adjacent to the Ijams Visitor Center lawn, 2915 Island Home Ave. There will be signage for "Nature Nuggets" to direct you.
