Located three miles from downtown Knoxville, Ijams Nature Center is an environmental education center visited annually by more than 160,000 people from around the world. With 315 acres of forests, meadows, wetlands, and creeks, Ijams is perfect for students, families, and nature lovers of all ages.
The grounds are open seven days a week from 8 am until dusk. The Visitor Center is open 9 am-5 pm Monday-Saturday and 11 am-5 pm Sunday. Entry is free. NOTE: Ijams facilities reopened on a limited basis May 9. Learn More
