Calling All Volunteers!
Grab your friends, family, coworkers, Scout troops, and church groups! It's time to clean up this town during the 37th annual Ijams River Rescue on Saturday, March 21, 2026 (severe weather date is March 28), from 10 am-1 pm!

This annual, one-day cleanup brings hundreds of volunteers together to clean up multiple sites in Knox, Anderson, Blount, and Loudon counties!
In 2025, 518 volunteers cleaned up 34 sites, removing an estimated 34,402 pounds (17.2 tons) of trash from the Tennessee River, creeks, streams, and shorelines. Volunteers collected 1,157 bags of trash as well as 100 tires!

Everyone who volunteers will receive a t-shirt designed by Stephen Lyn Bales featuring a frog who is all about Ijams!​
