It's almost time for the 31st annual Ijams River Rescue, presented by Home Federal Bank and TVA! This event was rescheduled due to COVID-19, but with all we know now, we know we can come together safely to clean up the Tennessee River and its creeks and streams to make the Greater Knoxville Area an even better place to live, work and play! The deadline to register is Sunday, Nov. 14!

This popular, communitywide event focuses on up to 50 different cleanup sites along the Tennessee River and its tributaries. Each year, between 600-800 volunteers spend several hours removing tons of trash from these areas.

Join in on some good, "clean" fun and make a difference! Come on your own or in a group, such as families, friends, corporate teams, scout troops or church groups. Bags and gloves are provided, and each location has a site captain to assist volunteers. We'll follow physical distancing and other safety protocols, so sign up for a site today! (PLUS you get a cool salamander t-shirt!)
