Let's Clean Up This Town!

Hope you signed up for the 32nd annual Ijams River Rescue, presented by TVA! It's a great way to safely get out, get active, and clean up the Tennessee River and its creeks and streams to make the Greater Knoxville Area an even better place to live, work, and play!

This event brings together 500-800 volunteers to remove between 10-40 tons of trash from the Tennessee River’s shorelines and its tributary creeks.

In 2020, 500 volunteers safely removed 12.6 tons of garbage from 32 sites! Let's blow that "out of the water" this year!

Outdoor cleanups are a great way to give back, get active and stay safe because you can be outside and physically distance from everyone around you.

Everyone who volunteers will receive a t-shirt featuring this beautiful barred owl design by Stephen Lyn Bales.

This work would not be possible without you, or the generous organizations that sponsor this event. Thank you so much for caring about East Tennessee's waterways!

Let's get social!
