Oct. 24   Bewitching Bats - Guided Family Program

Have you ever wondered what life would be like as a bat? Now’s your chance to find out! Join Ijams for a night of fun and exploration as we take a deep-dive into one of the world’s most misunderstood animals.

Oct. 25   Back Patio Social: A Night of Scary Stories with the Smoky  Mountain Storytellers Association

Join Ijams and the Smoky Mountain Storytellers Association for a night of haunted tales, scary stories, and fireside frights as part of the Ijams Back Patio Social!

Oct. 26   Ijams After Dark - Guided Family Program

Discover Ijams after dark during this experiential Hallo-week adventure! Participants will meet some of Ijams’ nocturnal animal ambassadors, learn about the not-so-creepy critters that inhabit the night, and take a fun-filled, guided night hike on the trails.

Oct. 27   Family Owl Prowl

Bring your friends and family to meet one of Ijams’ resident animal ambassadors (hint: an owl!) before exploring the trails after dark in search of screech, barred, and great horned owls!

Oct. 28   Tricks and Treats: Ijams Enchanted Forest

Join Ijams for a night of tricks and (lots of) treats at the Ijams Nature Playscape at Grayson Subaru Preserve! Dress up in your costume and enjoy seasonal crafts, games, and activities, meet some animal ambassadors, and collect treats in the Ijams Enchanted Forest.

Get ready for a morning of underground exploration in Ijams’ cave system!

Oct. 29   Family Pumpkin Carving at Meads Quarry

Grab your family and friends for an afternoon of pumpkin carving and Halloween-inspired party games at Mead's Quarry!
