About the Event
Outside can be a scary place! With unknown critters, bears, winter storms, and mountains to face, it can be hard to jump right in to outdoor adventures. In this introductory course, you will learn how to prioritize your needs in a survival scenario, build a shelter, build and maintain a fire, acquire and store food, and other necessary skills to survive in the wild!
All participants MUST complete an Assumption of Risk Form (only once in a calendar year) prior to participation in the program: ijams.org/waiver
If you have already filled out a waiver for another Ijams Education Program this year, there is no need to fill out another one.
Ages: This program is designed for ages 14+
Accessibility: Participants can expect to travel a distance of up to 1 miles during the duration of the program over uneven surfaces that may include rocks, roots, and gravel. This program includes various…
