Weed Warriors Workday on Pink Marble Trail 12/17/22

**NOTE: This session is limited to 15 participants. If you are not registered and there are 15 participants, you will be asked to come another time or will be given a different assignment.

December's Weed Warriors Workday focuses on the behavior, characteristics, and history of two of Ijams' top four problematic invasive plants, bush honeysuckle and Chinese privet. Volunteers will learn how to identify these plants and be trained in removal techniques. The goal of this workday is to remove these noxious invaders, giving native plants a chance to thrive.

Volunteers should wear closed-toed shoes, long-sleeved shirts, and long pants to protect themselves from thorns and poison ivy. BRING WATER! Tools and gloves will be provided.

Those who are under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult for all volunteer opportunities. Those who are 16 and 17 can participate in public volunteer workdays as long as they have a parent's or guardian's permission. Please email sshorey@ijams.org for the permission sheet. Thank you!
