About the Event

**NOTE: This event is limited to 10 participants. If you are not registered and we are over the limit of participants, we will ask you to come another time or give you a different assignment.

Volunteers will meet at Mead's Quarry restroom area by 9:30am and will hike down to one of Ijams' newest properties to remove some non-native invasive plants. Weed Warriors returners will be introduced to Wisteria on the hillside while newcomer Weed Warriors will be removing some woody invasives along a nice meandering stream. Long sleeve shirts and pants are recommended to protect from thorns and poison ivy. Bring water and note that terrain can sometimes be difficult.

Please bring the following: water, appropriate clothing/footwear, and a mask if you have one (Ijams Visitor Center has simple disposable masks if you come without one). Masks will only be necessary when we are within six feet of each other. If you are exhibiting any sign of fever or illness, do not participate in this workday. Tools and gloves will be provided.

Meeting Spot: Mead's Quarry Parking Lot

3518 Island Home Ave. Knoxville, TN 37920
