About the Event
Join local childcare organization FarmCare for a Conservation Conversation pop-up on the Visitor Center plaza!
FarmCare brings a unique combination of small scale farms and small daycare centers to Knoxville. Their mission is to teach kids how to grow their own food, while partnering with local farmers to buy the meals and snacks that they don't grow themselves. They also teach kids about the interactions between food and wildlife, and remind them to keep a close eye on mindless consumption of all kinds. (Learn more at https://farmcarekids.com/)
They'll be coming out to the Ijams Visitor Center plaza to discuss the role their mission plays in sustainability and conservation on October 8!
This Conversation is a FREE educational pop-up for all ages. No RSVP required.
This event is apart of Ijams Nature Center's 2023 Take Action! series.
