About the Event
With a little guidance, you won't be-leaf how easy tree ID can be! Learn the basics of tree identification, species histories, and leave with a larger understanding of tree phenology during this 2-hour guided workshop, all while using the iNaturalist app to make critical observations and be a community scientist!
All participants are asked to download the iNaturalist app before their workshop date and create a free account. iNaturalist will be a key tool we use during our BioBlitz!
Location: Participants will receive an email 3 days before their workshop date with an exact meeting location - we're trying to cover as much ground as possible!
Ages: This program is designed for ages 12+
Accessibility: Participants can expect to travel a distance of up to 1.5 miles during the duration of the program over uneven surfaces that may include rocks, roots, and gravel. This program includes various stopping points.
