About the Event
On Sunday, September 26th, the Smoky Mountain Blues Society and Ijams Nature Center are partnering again to bring local blues enthusiasts a terrific live outdoor show. This special event will feature the return of Few Miles On, winner of local 2019 International Blues Challenge, at Ijams Nature Center at 4 pm – 7pm. Gates open at 3 pm.
Few Miles On is comprised of three veteran musicians from Detroit, Chicago and East Texas, who found each other in East Tennessee. This Blues Rock power trio has developed a signature sound they call “Southern Blues Groove” which features soulful vocals, a dynamic rhythm section and gritty slide guitar. As live performers, they captivate their audience with a tight set off rocking shuffles, emotional ballads, funky grooves and swampy delta blues. Tickets cost $10 for SMBS members and $15 for the general public. Doors open at 3 pm and the music will begin at 4
pm. Guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets. Food truck and beer garden will be available for this performance.
