SPECIAL EVENT: An Afternoon of Opera at Ijams

Ijams Nature Center is delighted to present a free-admission concert by Knoxville Opera on Sunday, September 27 at 2:30pm.   The program features popular selections from Broadway, movies, operetta, and of course opera.  Brian Salesky, Knoxville Opera’s dynamic and entertaining Artistic Director, will host the performance and accompany soprano Jacquie Brecheen and tenor Wayd Odle in more than one dozen musical theatre gems. 

Attendance will be on a first-come, first-served basis and will be limited to 100 socially distanced guests seated on the lawn in front of the Pavilion located near the front entrance of the Visitor Center. All attendees MUST reserve a ticket online in order to attend. Please note, if you reserve a ticket and then cannot attend, PLEASE send an email to sbrobst@ijams.org to release your ticket to the next person on the wait list.

Guests are welcome to bring their own lawnchairs or blanket and sit on the lawn.  Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase in the Ijams Visitor Center.
