About the Event
**(NOTE: We are limiting this to 10 participants. If you are not registered and we are over the limit of participants, we will ask you to come another time or give you a different assignment)
Volunteers will hike down to the section of River Trail that has been closed to remove invasive privet and honeysuckle, opening up the view to the Tennessee River in preparation for Ijams' upcoming trail reopening. Long sleeve shirts, closed-toed shoes, and pants are recommended to protect from thorns and poison ivy. Bring water!
Please bring the following: water, appropriate clothing/footwear, and a mask if you have one (Ijams Visitor Center has simple disposable masks if you come without one). Masks will only be necessary when we are within six feet of each other. If you are exhibiting any sign of fever or illness, do not participate in this workday. Tools and gloves will be provided.
