About the Event

**NOTE: This session is limited to 15 participants. If you are not registered and there are 15 participants, you will be asked to come another time or will be given a different assignment.

Join the Ijams Natural Resource team at Mead's Quarry Adventure Camp by 9:30 am and then hike up Tharp Trace to continue to remove woody invasives along the trail's corridor. The goal is not only to remove harmful invasive plants but also to open up the view to the lake! Gloves and tools will be provided, but be sure to wear the appropriate gear (closed-toed shoes, pants, long-sleeved shirts) and bring WATER!

Please bring a mask if you have one (the Ijams Visitor Center has simple disposable masks if you come without one). Masks are only necessary when we are within six feet of each other. If you are exhibiting any sign of fever or illness, do not participate in this workday.

Meeting Spot: Mead's Quarry Parking Lot (Adventure Camp)

3518 Island Home Ave. Knoxville, TN 37920

Volunteers under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult for all volunteer opportunities. Those who are 16 and 17 can participate in public volunteer workdays as long as they have a parent's or guardian's permission. Please email sshorey@ijams.org for the permission sheet. Thank you!
