About the Event

**NOTE: This session is limited to 15 participants. If you are not registered and there are 15 participants, you will be asked to come another time or will be given a different assignment.

Join Ijams for some fun and hard work! Volunteers will meet at Mead's Quarry Adventure Camp by 9:30 am. You’ll hike over to the Grayson Subaru Preserve to remove non-native, invasive plants as well as trash left behind when this property was used as a dumpsite. Long-sleeved shirts, long pants, and closed-toed shoes are recommended to protect from thorns and poison ivy. Bring water! Let's say it again: BRING WATER!

Please BRING WATER and wear appropriate clothing/footwear. If you are exhibiting any sign of fever or illness, do not participate in this workday. Gloves will be provided.

Meeting Spot: At Mead's Quarry Parking Lot (Adventure Camp)

3518 Island Home Ave. Knoxville, TN 37920

Those who are under 16 years old cannot volunteer by themselves at Ijams; they must be accompanied by an adult for all volunteer opportunities.

Those who are 16 and 17 can participate in public volunteer workdays as long as they have a parent's or guardian's permission. Please email chassil@ijams.org for the permission sheet. Thank you!
