About the Event
**NOTE: This session is limited to 15 participants. If you are not registered and there are 15 participants, you will be asked to come another time or will be given a different assignment.
Volunteers will meet at Mead's Quarry Adventure Camp and then hike up Tharp Trace to continue removing woody invasive plants along the trail's corridor. The goal of this work is not only to eradicate harmful invasives but also improve the view of Mead's Quarry Lake. Wear closed-toed shoes, long-sleeved shirts and pants to protect yourself from thorns and poison ivy. BRING WATER!
Please bring the following: water, appropriate clothing/footwear, and a mask if you have one (the Ijams Visitor Center has simple disposable masks if you come without one). Masks will only be necessary when we are within six feet of each other. If you are exhibiting any sign of fever or illness, do not participate in this workday. Tools and gloves will be provided.
Meeting Spot: Mead's Quarry Parking Lot (Adventure Camp)
