About the Event
Audience: Adults and Families; Ages 6+
During this one-of-a-kind adventure, participants will scramble through rocks and boulders left behind by historic quarry operations, explore hidden cave entrances, and experience a side of Ijams that is unknown to most people.
Materials Participants Should Bring/Wear: Closed-toe shoes with durable rubber soles and good traction (sneakers, hiking boots, cross-training shoes, etc.); clothing that is comfortable for the weather, supportive of athletic movements, and okay to get muddy; sunscreen, insect repellent, hat, sunglasses, and water with a hands-free way to carry it.
No walk-ins will be accepted.
Directions: Stay on Island Home Ave, do not turn into Ijams Nature Center. After the railroad tracks, turn right into the parking area for the quarries and trails.
