Ijams Take Action!: Seed Swap Weekend with Ijams and Beardsley Farm

Join Ijams and CAC Beardsley Community Farm for a seed swap extravaganza weekend as part of Ijams Take Action! series. The beginnings of spring are right around the corner and it's time to start thinking about getting your gardens ready.

Saturday, Feb. 26, the seed swap is from 3-5 pm at Beardsley Farm (1741 Reynolds St. Knoxville, TN 37921) after a workday from 12-3 pm. Ijams will also have seeds at this event.

Sunday, Feb. 27, the seed swap is from 11 am-3 pm at Ijams Nature Center outdoors on the plaza and will have not only seeds from Ijams but also Beardsley Farm and Slow Foods Tennessee Valley.

Seed swaps are a fun way to meet other gardeners in the area, learn tips and tricks about your favorite plants, and learn about what crops and natives will do well in the area. Bring any seeds from your garden last season, cuttings from your overgrown plants, or extra plants that need a good home, and take some new seeds home to plant this year. (You do not need to have seeds to participate.)

These events are FREE and open to everyone. No registration necessary.
