About the Event

Join Ijams and the Smoky Mountain Storytellers Association for World Storytelling Day, which occurs annually on March 20. This is a day that celebrates the art of storytelling- whether the story has words, pictures, signs, or expressions, all forms of storytelling are appreciated on this day.  The day acknowledges the art form of storytelling and encourages diversity among different cultures and races.

Beginning and veteran storytellers worldwide celebrate the art of storytelling on that day. This year, the theme is Building Bridges.  Come and enjoy stories from some wonderful Smoky Mountain Storytellers!

Featured storytellers on March 20, 2024 will be Susan Fulbright, Stephen Fulbright, and Roland Mote.

Doors open at 6 pm, stories begin at 7. This is a family friendly event- good for all ages. Tickets for this event are $10 for adults, $5 for kids ages 5-12.

The Ijams Beer Garden and concession area will be open all evening.

This event will be held inside the Visitor Center. If the weather is beautiful, the event will move to the back patio.
