IJAMS RIVER RESCUE 2020: Turkey Creek Greenway by closed Earth Fare
Time & Location
About the Event
The 2020 Ijams River Rescue is an annual communitywide event that focuses on cleanup sites along the Tennessee River and its tributaries. Each year, between 600-800 volunteers spend several hours removing tons of trash from these areas. Volunteers may come as individuals or in a group, such as families, friends, corporate teams, scout troops or church groups. Bags and gloves are provided, and each location has a site captain to assist volunteers.
The Turkey Creek Greenway may not be suitable for young children.
All materials are provided. Please meet at the closed Earth Fare on Parkside Drive at 10:00 am.
Closer to the event date, a reminder email and waiver will be emailed to you, so please be on the lookout for this. All participants must have a signed waiver, and all children under 18 must have a waiver signed by their parent/guardian. Troop leaders, friends, and other relatives CANNOT sign waivers for participating children.
Please note: If you are interested in signing up a group for this event, we encourage EACH PERSON in that group to register individually so that we can get their waiver and contact information. This is especially important when trying to communicate specific instructions for parking and where to meet.
