Ijams Night Hike: SUPERMOON (Family Program)

Ijams Night Hikes are recommended for ages 6 and up

Description: Join an Ijams naturalist for a nighttime hike around Ijams Nature Center. The full moon will be closer to Earth than any other night this year, and the larger-than-usual appearance will light our way throughout the night. Explore the trails and watch as the familiar becomes new in a nocturnal setting. Owls, salamanders, bats, frogs, and more could be encountered on this night hike at Ijams.

Materials Participants Should Bring: Good walking shoes, water, flashlight, and weather-appropriate clothes.

Information to Note: This is a night hike that covers trails with roots and rocks. Participants should be prepared to walk upwards of a mile in low light conditions.

Directions: This Ijams Night Hike meets at the Ijams Nature Center.

No walk-ins will be accepted. Every participant must have a ticket. Children under 18 years must be accompanied by an adult.

Ijams awards full refunds for any cancellations up to 7 days before a program, or if Ijams cancels a program due to inclement weather. Refunds are not awarded for programs with fees of $5 or less for any reason. Tickets are non-transferable.
