About the Event
Ijams Night Hikes are recommended for ages 6 and up
Description: Have you ever wondered what the bats around Ijams do all night? This specialized night hike will take you out on the trails in search of these awesome nocturnal flyng mammals. During this walk you'll test your senses and see how they compare to a bat's. You'll learn about different species of bats in the area, how they navigate the dark with echolocation, and what makes them unique.
Materials Participants Should Bring: Good walking shoes, water, flashlight, and weather appropriate clothes.
Information to Note: This is a night hike that covers trails with roots and rocks. Participants should be prepared to walk upwards of a mile in low light conditions.
Directions: This Ijams Night Hike meets at the Ijams Nature Center outdoor pavilion at the main parking lot.

No walk-ins will be accepted. Every participant must have a ticket. Children under 18 years must be accompanied by an adult.
Ijams awards full refunds for any cancellations up to 7 days before a program, or if Ijams cancels a program due to inclement weather. Refunds are not awarded for programs with fees of $5 or less for any reason. Tickets are non-transferable.
