About the Event
Recommended for ages 18 and up
Description: Spring is in the air and so are the birds! Join an Ijams naturalist to explore the trails and look for migratory birds. You'll learn about species that have traveled from as far away as South America to end up in our neck of the woods. Yes, this program does start at 8:00 am, but you know what they say, "Early birders get the worm-eating warbler!"
Materials Participants Should Bring: Hiking shoes, long pants, a journal to take notes, clothes for rain or cold, water bottle, sunscreen, and binoculars. Ijams has binoculars to borrow if you do not have your own pair, or want to try out a new pair.
Information to Note: This program will take place on trails with roots, rocks, and some elevation change. We will spend the entirety of the class outdoors.
Location: This program meets outside the Ijams Nature Center.
Please check your junk mail folder the day before this program if you have not received an email containing program details.
No walk-ins will be accepted. Every participant must have a ticket. Children under 2 years old do not need a ticket.
Ijams awards full refunds for any cancellations up to 7 days before a program, or if Ijams cancels a program due to inclement weather. Refunds are not awarded for programs with fees of $5 or less for any reason. Tickets are non-transferable.
