Geared Toward: Adults (kids are welcome, but this program is geared toward adults and older kids)
Because of the quarantine, birdwatching has become more popular than ever. But if you think your backyard birds only come and go from your feeders, you're in for a surprise! There is so much more to their lives than just eating. Each species is different. Join Ijams' former senior naturalist, Stephen Lyn Bales, for a look at the hidden life of birds, from communication, courtship, and mate selection, to defending territory, nest location, and parenting. We know the mothers are busy, but what about the fathers? Stephen Lyn also will have some of his books for sale.
Space is limited. Preregistration required. Participants will meet at the Homesite Lawn. Bring a personal lawn chair or blanket.
