About the Event
Out in the field, fungi identification doesn’t leave mush-room for guessing! During this immersive workshop, you’ll learn the basics of fungi, lichen, fern, and moss anatomy, identification, and their pivotal role in our ecosystems, all while using the iNaturalist app to make critical observations and be a community scientist!
All participants are asked to download the iNaturalist app before their workshop date and create a free account. iNaturalist will be a key tool we use during our BioBlitz!
Location: Participants will receive an email 3 days before their workshop date with an exact meeting location - we're trying to cover as much ground as possible!
Ages: This program is designed for ages 14+
Accessibility: Participants can expect to travel a distance of up to 1.5 miles during the duration of the program over uneven surfaces that may include rocks, roots, and gravel. This program includes various stopping points.
