East TN Young Birders Club

Calling all young birders! We are excited to partner with Seven Islands State Birding Park and Knoxville Ornithological Society to offer a new East Tennessee Young Birders Club. This club will provide bird enthusiasts, ages 12-18, with an opportunity to find peers with similar interests while participating in birding walks, research, and conservation.

Young Birders Club: Owl Prowl

Young birders ages 12-18 are invited to join in on this FREE program to meet some of Ijams' resident owl ambassadors before heading out on the trails after dark in search of these beautiful birds!

Ages: This program is part of the East TN Young Birders Club, and therefore is created for ages 12-18 in mind. Please note that younger siblings, if not in the provided age range, are asked to stay behind for this program. Any person under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. 

Accessibility: Participants can expect to travel a distance of up to 2 miles during the duration of the program over uneven surfaces that may include rocks, roots, and gravel. This program includes various stopping points.
