About the Event
Join Craft Appalachia and Ijams Nature Center for a day of crafting fun on February 18 from 10am-1pm for a DIY basket making workshop (Adults and Youth ages 10 and up)
Weave together local art and history. This hands on workshop will allow participants to practice and learn basic techniques of basket making with pre cut materials, and illustrated, step by visuals and patient help!
Tickets for this event are $30 per person. With your ticket you will be provided all materials, facilitated instruction, and a bit of story telling highlighting Appalachian heritage baskets and how they are woven deeply into local culture and history.

All basket makers are required to have a paid ticket. (Makers under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian present for the duration of the workshop.)
