About the Event

Audience: Adults and Families; Ages 6+

If you are still wondering which end of your binoculars to look through, or why a duck-billed platypus is NOT a bird, then this program is for you! Join an Ijams educator in the field to learn what makes a bird a bird, and the basic skills and tools used to observe and identify the world's only creatures with feathers.

Materials Participants Should Bring: Binoculars and Field Guide to Birds, if you are able to bring any or all of them. Ijams will also provide loaners of each. Participants should also bring sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, water and a hands-free way to carry these items.

No walk-ins will be accepted.
