Description: Ijams' Beginning to Bird program helps you take or re-take your first steps into the world of bird watching. This month, we are prepping for the incoming spring migration. We will learn how to avoid neck cramps, how to identify warblers, and focus on common problems when migration comes. Join us to prep for the most exciting time on the birding calendar.
Materials Participants Should Bring: Good walking shoes, water, binoculars (Ijams can provide binoculars as needed), journal, something to write with, and bird field guide if you have one.
Information to Note: This is a bird walk and we will go on trails with roots, rocks, and some elevation change. Arrive ready to walk approximately .75 to 1 mile.
Directions: This program meets in the main parking lot at Mayor Bob Leonard Park.
No walk-ins will be accepted. Every participant must have a ticket. Children under 18 years must be accompanied by an adult.
