Weed Warriors Public Workday at Grayson Subaru Preserve 10/23/21 (REGISTRATION REQUIRED)

**NOTE: This session is limited to 15 participants. If you are not registered and there are 15 participants, you will be asked to come another time or will be given a different assignment.

Volunteers will meet at the Ijams Mead's Quarry Adventure Camp at 9:30 am and take a short walk to the Grayson Subaru Preserve. This ~13.5-acre property adjacent to the quarry will soon become a nature play area for children. The focus of this workday is woody invasives, and you'll learn Ijams' stump-and-treat removal method using herbicides. Wear closed-toed shoes, long-sleeved shirts and pants to protect yourself from thorns and poison ivy. BRING WATER!

Ijams Weed Warriors workdays are designed to give volunteers hands-on experience with invasive species removal techniques and expand their knowledge of invasive plants, their history and impact on native habitats, native replacement options, and more.
