Trail Volunteer Workday on Secret Pond Trail 10/16/21 (REGISTRATION REQUIRED)

**NOTE: This session is limited to 15 participants. If you are not registered and there are 15 participants, you will be asked to come another time or will be given a different assignment.

Volunteers will meet at the parking lot near the Miller Building (Ijams family homesite).  To get there, enter the main Visitor Center entrance and immediately turn left on the interior access road to get to the parking area closest to the Miller Building. The goal of the day is to begin resurfacing the Secret Pond Trail with mulch. Wear closed-toed shoes, long-sleeved shirts and pants to protect yourself from thorns and poison ivy. BRING WATER!

Please bring the following: water, appropriate clothing/footwear, and a mask if you have one (the Ijams Visitor Center has simple disposable masks if you come without one). Masks will only be necessary when we are within six feet of each other. If you are exhibiting any sign of fever or illness, do not participate in this workday. Tools and gloves will be provided.

Those who are under 16 years old cannot volunteer by themselves at Ijams; they must be accompanied by an adult for all volunteer opportunities.

Those who are 16 & 17 can participate in public volunteer workdays as long as they have a parent's or guardian's permission. Please email chassil@ijams.org for the permission sheet. Thank you!
