About the Event
Join the fourth- and fifth-grade students from Montgomery Ridge Intermediate School at Ijams Nature Center on Nov. 23 at 3 pm as they present "The Heart of the Quilt," a new play honoring Appalachian heritage and the timeless art of storytelling.
Cowritten by children’s author, Shannon Hitchcock, and Kristy Weekley Giles, the production highlights how family traditions are shared, cherished, and passed from one generation to the next. This is a FREE event and open to all ages.
The play will be held inside the Ijams Visitor Center. Doors open 30 minutes before the play starts. Seating will be provided. The Ijams concession area will be open for snack and drink needs.
