Public Workday with the Natural Resource Team (REGISTRATION REQUIRED)

**(NOTE: We are limiting this to 10 participants. If you are not registered and we are over the limit of participants, we will ask you to come another time or give you a different assignment)

Volunteers will be working to develop a small off-trail program space for Ijam's Education Department.  The work will consist of removing non-native invasive vines and woody plants, moving some logs and debris to help delineate the space, and installing some small cross sections of logs for kids to turn over and explore! Long sleeve shirts and pants are recommended to protect from thorns and poison ivy. Bring water! 

Please bring the following: water, appropriate clothing/footwear, and a mask if you have one (Ijams Visitor Center has simple disposable masks if you come without one). Masks will only be necessary when we are within six feet of each other. If you are exhibiting any sign of fever or illness, do not participate in this workday. Tools and gloves will be provided.

Those who are under 16 years old cannot volunteer by themselves at Ijams, they must be accompanied by an adult for all volunteer opportunities. 

Those who are 16 & 17 can participate in public volunteer workdays as long as they have a parent's or guardian's permission. Please email mcollins@ijams.org for the permission sheet. Thank you!
