Creative Series: Cyanotype Workshop with The Big Camera

Anna Atkins was an English botanist and the first woman photographer to publish a book of her works! Come celebrate her birthday by learning a sustainable and environmentally safe printing process!

Join The Big Camera for an informative workshop from 11 am-1 pm where you'll learn all the basic tips and techniques used to create some amazing cyanotype prints. You'll experiment with the cyanotype process on tea bags, fabric, and paper, and will also make a small art book!

The fee for this workshop is $50. Tickets must be purchased through Ijams. There is a $10 discount for A1LabArts members or Ijams members (memberships will be verified prior to class if you sign up for a membership ticket). All supplies are included in the ticket price.

There will be a free community event after the workshop on the Ijams Visitor Center plaza where you will be able to make a FREE flag from invasive plants removed from Ijams! Everyone is invited to participate in this portion of the day - no ticket required.
