About the Event
Calling all creek kids! Join an Ijams naturalist to explore under logs and in the creeks and ponds of Ijams while searching for bugs, worms, and other underground critters and macroinvertebrates that are often overlooked. BE PREPARED: Please wear clothing/footwear that you'd be alright getting wet in!
All participants are asked to download the iNaturalist app before their workshop date and create a free account. iNaturalist will be a key tool we use during our BioBlitz!
Location: MEET AT IJAMS VISITOR CENTER
Ages: This program is designed for ages 14+
Accessibility: Participants can expect to travel a distance of up to 1.5 miles during the duration of the program over uneven surfaces that may include rocks, roots, and gravel. This program includes various stopping points.
