Experience Ijams' lush natural areas in new ways - by bike or canoe!


Saturdays from 9:00am - 4:30pm and Sundays from 1:00pm - 4:30pm only. Closed during the winter season.

In partnership with River Sports Outfitters Ijams offers bike rentals for the Greenway and mountain bike trails and and canoe experiences on Mead's Quarry Lake.

(Please note: canoe rentals are not available on the Tennessee River at this time.)

Equipment is available for pick up at Mead's Quarry following check in and payment at the visitor center. A valid driver's license or state identification will be required to rent and will be held as security during the rental period.

Bike rental prices (inc. tax): $11 for 2 hours per person or $27.50 all day per person

Canoe rental price (inc. tax): $27.5 for 2 hours per boat

Capacity of canoes is two adults. Children may be permitted to ride in the canoe with a parent if the weight limit is not exceeded. This determination will be made by River Sports Outfitters at the point of entry.

Helmets will be provided for bike rentals but you may bring your own. All helmets will be subject to approval of River Sports personnel.

A liability release/waiver signed by an adult is required for all bike and canoe rentals.
