Trail Bike

Come explore Knoxville's newest multi-use trails at the Ross Marble Natural Area, Mead's Quarry and Will Skelton Greenway.

Ijams has teamed up with the Appalachian Mountain Bike Club to bring you 3 miles of beginner-intermediate bike trails weaving through rugged terrain, undisturbed woodlands, and along the former quarry gorge. Don't forget to dismount and explore the Ross Marble Quarry loop with unforgettable views from the rock bridge and below through the "keyhole".

Key Trails:
• Hickory Trail (1.4 miles) - a mature wooded trail with magnificent trees and wildflowers
• Amber Trail (0.75 mile) - a charming and largely wooded trail
• Imerys Trail (0.75 mile) - wide rugged trail
• Ross Marble Quarry Loop (0.1 mile) - gravel trail to rock bridge and keyhole features
• Hayworth Hollow (0.1 mile) - short but memorable rugged trail along quarry gorge with sheer rock walls
• Will Skelton Greenway (3.5 miles) - connections to City Greenway at manin Ijams entrance, Home Site, Mead's Quarry, and also Forks of the River Wildlife Management Area and Island Home Park.

Bike Rentals

Mountain Biking at Ross Marble

Saturdays from 9:00am - 4:30pm and Sundays from 1:00pm - 4:30pm only.

In partnership with River Sports Outfitters Ijams offers bike rentals for visitors to experience the Will Skelton Greenway and mountain bike trails through Mead's Quarry and Ross Marble Natural Area. Bikes are available for pick up at Mead's Quarry following check-in and payment at the visitor center. A valid driver's license or state identification will be required to rent and will be held as security during the rental period.

Helmets will be provided for bike rentals but you may bring your own. All helmets will be subject to approval of River Sports personnel.

A liability release/waiver signed by an adult is required for all bike rentals.
