Scouts at Ijams

After the tragic death of Mary Ijams in 1932, the Ijams family designated a portion of their land to be used as a Girl Scout summer day camp, Camp Mary Ijams. Through the years, scouting has flourished at Ijams Nature Center with dozens of boy and girl scouts visiting every year. Incorporating the motto “be prepared,” Ijams offers diverse programming ranging in ability, age, and educational subject. For upcoming scouting events, please visit our events calendar. We hope that you will try scouting at Ijams Nature Center!
